Biography
Sonakshi Saha is a policy researcher working at the intersection of digital governance, technology policy, and democratic institutions. Her research focuses on platform governance, the geopolitical dimensions of technology regulation, and the evolving relationship between digital media ecosystems and public policy. Earlier in her career in South Asia, she held senior roles in digital strategy and political communications, leading large-scale public information campaigns, data-driven audience engagement initiatives, and digital policy research within government and media ecosystems.
She is currently affiliated with the Digital Governance, Technology and Policy Chair at the Hasso Plattner Institute, where she contributes to the Path to Power research project. Her work explores how digital technologies shape political influence, governance frameworks, and regulatory responses across democratic contexts.
Sonakshi previously worked on communications and policy engagement across international institutions including the Aspen Institute Germany, CIVICA — The European University of Social Sciences, and the Global Solutions Initiative. Through these roles, she has supported policy dialogues on technology governance, digital public spheres, and democratic participation.
